Huge moment, drift and spin there. Pitch certainly doing a bit for spinner now - great knock from Rooty but with new ball due that could be a big issue for us.

Yep, and particularly in this heat (for England) it gives the bowlers an huge advantage of resting up, particularly if you have 2 30 plus'ers in there.

Oh that was unnecessary Joe, but even more unnecessary from a bloody finger spinner FFS.

That's true, if slowing down is the purpose. I would like to think it is merely the result. Might be naive.......
Longer you get to bowl your overs, less tired your bowlers are. Also more you can tweak the field and slow batsmen momentum down.
