Playing Selector: Final Spot for the Team of the 1990's

Qualification: Varies. 1000 runs + 50 wickets for all-rounders. Anyone who got a vote on the batting polls qualifies, and I have a few select names out of those that scored between 2000-3000 runs in the 90's.

Haha I was wondering the same. This was clearly going to be between sixth bat/all rounders and the 90s didn't seem to have enough of the latter. Loved Big Mac btw.

It's nice to see Ijaz Ahmed received a vote and made it to this poll. I always liked watching him bat, scored more tons against us than all his peers I think

Aravinda at 5 for me. Steve was equally good at 5 and 6.

Mark Waugh not getting a single vote is amazing. Was picking between Aravinda and him.

I thought s Waugh gave up bowling around the same time he became dominant with the bat. Could be wrong.

Went for Cairns as a better 5th bowler.

Thought about Kallis, but he is a top order batsman only. Too slow for number 6.

Most of that was because Flower wasn't eligible was for the keeper poll.

Plus Healy is a much, much better keeper than Flower.

Yeah Healy over Flower as keeper is fair. Flower has to make it in as a pure batsman though.

Voted for the 'Other' option - Saleem Malik. Averaged nearly 50 IIRC in the 90s and was gun against almost all the good attacks.
