You could do this using '90s Indian "fast" bowlers alone..

Debashish Mohanty
Harvinder Singh
Abey Kuruvilla

Trevor Barsby

Allan Border (c)
Richard Chee Quee
Adam Gilchrist (w/k)
Carl Hooper
Craig McDermott
Curtley Ambrose
Peter Taylor

Wasim Akram (12th)

The equivalent '2000s AFL players' thread would be even better IMO, but notwithstanding...

Johan van der Wath
Adrian Barath
Dan Cullen
Alok Kopali
Chris Read
Farveez Maharoof
Irfan Pathan
Imran Farhat
Sean Ervine
Michael Mason

Got one from each of the 10 test playing nations that were active as I was growing up, some I liked, others I just knew of and wished them well for whatever reason, some played one good game I happened to watch. Tried not to overthink it

Speaking of random cricketers how random was Pat Symcox. Seems to have done more with bat than ball.

Haha that open-chested bowling action, lol. Laptop coach Woolmer sent him as a pinch-hitter no. 3 in ODI. Later Greg Chappell copied him to push Irfan Pathan up to 3.

Classic random Symcox game: Full Scorecard of India vs South Africa, Sharjah Cup (various sponsors), Final - Score Report | ESPNcricinfo.com

SA is 2 down for 20, Symcox walks in and scores 61 off 49 and takes the game away from India. Bowls only 6 overs though. What the hell was his role really?

Crazy is how there are scorecards where he comes in to bat at no 11 as well, think I've seen a couple from the late 90s tour to Aus where he comes in after Pollock and Klusener

Some random favourites of mine:

Richard Snell
Stuart Law
Mal Loye
Shayne O'Connor
Paul Strang
Narendra Hirwani (for his banging glasses/headband combo)
Guy Whittall
Sherwin Campbell (busting out the plastic helmet earguards long after they were fashionable - likewise, Matt Horne)
Billy Ibadulla (my old coach)
Shane Thomson
