That was Sony.. He was kept out of all the Star panels (apparently in the old BCCI's insistence). Glad that he is back now. As sanctimonious as he can be at times, guy loves cricket and does care about Indian cricket, which is more than what you can say about the entire crapinfo crowd and most of the other cricket hosts we have.

Crapinfo at its best -

Hardik Pandya, who has one century and one five-for in professional cricket, continued to make mockery of conventional selection principles as he single-handedly won India the first ODI of the series.

Ashwin's not doing too great over in England, although it's still very early days obviously. From what I've read the Worcester pitch has been tailor made for spin and while he did very well in the first game he's kinda failed to do much else. Was comprehensively outbowled by a 20 year old nobody spinner in his latest game. Hope he figures it out, got a lot of respect for guys who try to get more FC exposure.
Pujara's not getting too many runs either. Pretty concerning tbh, but atleast they're putting in the work to try and improve.

As long as they are learning, sometimes we gotta let these things slide. Just like the tour games, there are times when less is more with these players.

Ashwin has taken 13 wickets at 33 for Worcs so far including a five for. And he has scored a few with the bat as well, which is more impressive.

India agree to play three Tests vs South Africa, 1st in Cape Town from January 5 | cricket | Hindustan Times

Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ended the suspense and announced the fixtures for India’s upcoming tour of South Africa. The tour will include three Tests, six ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals, with the first Test to begin in Cape Town on January 5.

Cricket South Africa, in a press release, said that the dates and venues for all the remaining fixtures will be confirmed shortly. India will arrive in South Africa on December 28 and their tour will begin with a two-day practice match at Boland Park, Benoni on December 30-31.

The release further stated, “The time constraints faced by India have forced us to reduce the Test matches to three while increasing white ball cricket to six ODIs and three T20I matches.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Six ODIs? Six?! ffs. They could've easily given us 4 tests here.

Well at least 3's better than two. Still it's disappointing that they're still gorging themselves with JAMODI's.

Issue was they already set the Australia tour dates and BCCI wanted to have at least a 3 test home season badly. Also, RSA voting against BCCI would have played its part in all this. But I agree, we could have easily played 4 tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20s. You cant help it but RSA seems to want their 5 ODIs more badly than their 4 tests.

4 would have been nice, but I can live with 3. 2 was a farce last time, we actually played well and a 3rd Test would have been fun.

Would've got it all in if there wasn't a desire to stats pad...
Like Marc dooes with such painfully stupid posts.

Also wondering if Marc understands that RSA could have still had 4 tests if they had given up 3 ODIs... Might be difficult to spot with that agenda of his that refuses to let facts get in the way.
