It is not going to happen but would love it if Hampshire could get Siddle for next season, in desperate need of a bowler.

Yeah, I was just thinking he'd be the perfect overseas player for Somerset (make that any count). Doesn't play limited overs cricket and has a long off season next summer.

This Bangladesh A tour is a real drag on all the counties. Hampshire finished their 4 day game yesterday, 50 over game today and T20 quarter final tomorrow. Talk about a ridiculous schedule.

I can see why it's important to have these reciprocal deals with countries for their a team just real tough on the counties.

At the end of this month you've got the Lions ODIs against Bang, followed by Eng T20, followed by Eng ODI at the start of Sept. If England rest any players which they probably will from the T20 and ODI's, players like Stokes and Ballance might be in all those squads which is gonna be a blow for Durham and Yorkshire who are going for the CC title.

Yeah it is a fairly ridiculous time for us to be playing a tour match and not surprisingly it is a second side. Only Dawson plays out of those that did yesterday, and only him and Dimi out of those that will play tomorow.

Scotty Borthwick's contract meant to be up at the end of the season. Apparently wants more spin bowling and is undecided on future. Would be a great signing for basically any team. Leaving aside the spin bowling his batting is improving all the time, excellent fielder and seems driven.

Decent crowd - but plenty of empty seats - at the Oval for the first T20 QF against Somerset. You could put that down to a 4.10 pm start time, plus it's on Sky of course. Handy start from Azhar and Tremlett, despite those two 6s. We'll take 7 an over in the powerplay.

Dernbach v Kieswetter ... battle of the tats, as Colville put it - or the England rejects, you could say. Good over from JD though, 86-1 after 12.

Jon Lewis's fielding on the boundary costing a run there - the risk of playing all these over-35s.

All a bit immature, but I'm not sure why Trego had to walk straight into the Surrey huddle.

Doubt if there'll be any repercussions.

Buttler gone, big scalp.

A mid-pitch clash - and a few verbals - following Trego's dismissal by Batty (bowled trying a reverse sweep)

Probably about the right score to make the game competitive. Surrey's batting is average. Could be dependent on what Davies does with the bat.

Love that from Roy. Why is he not better? Saw him smash 80 odd in a session a couple of years back and he looked fantastic.
