Probably should've picked van der Bijl earlier, would've been able to get Rice then too. Not sure why I picked Thomson first name that popped into my head.

Gun ATG opening combo. Greatest batting all rounder. Very underrated spinner. Heaps of bowling firepower. You're set. Just the middle order to fill.

I have to admit, Roy Fredericks completely escaped my mind when I went for Hanif. 0/100 off 60 overs sounds tantalizing, dunnit?

You knew that Gavaskar was in full-swing when he hit his cover drives while down on one knee. The bat would be wrapped over his shoulder in the follow though.

Hanif was the first batsman to improvise the reverse-sweep, and used it when he was set.

The point being that great batsman are sometimes held back by the weaknesses of their team's batting order, but most can attack when the pressure is off and the mood takes them.
