Lyon really needs to throw a few up there. Getting a lot of turn but little to nothing above the eyeline. Won't worry anyone unless he gets it back up there.

Although Big Dunc kept picking Gilo way past the point where it was painfully obvious he was done, so there is a precedent.
The weird thing is that he actually got dropped, proceeded to average 48 or something in domestic cricket, and then still got recalled in place of someone who was actually performing pretty well.

It's not like he's forced his way back in, or improved his game, or that his replacement was deemed inadequate, or even just that he was persisted with consistently. Just weird.

How Giles ever played Tests is the real puzzle...one of the worst international spinners I've ever seen.
