What just happened?
Or something.

So if, at any point, the batsman is out of his ground and directly between you and the stumps, you throw the ball at him?
Only way they were going to get him, can't catch him so aim a throw at him and get him that way.
Brilliant stuff by the skipper. Now to see if Ding Dong can play a decent knock in Asia or not?
It looks like he's just happily shepherded the ball onto the stumps.
Why? Surely you don't have to leave it before you've even got in? And surely "not deliberately blocking it" isn't the same as "leaping out of the way"?
Thing I heard on the Sofa comes was a question of whether or not he was trying to avoid getting hit by the ball.
Least he has 190 on the board when it happened and not 19.
So we now lead by 43 and they will think they are into the tail with Bell in. Game on.![]()
Bumble said that if Cook had been in his ground but left it to avoid being hit by the ball, it would have been not out, but because he was never in his ground, he's out.
Is there something in the runout law about a batsman taking evasive action?
