It's Tough Being Me - The Kevin Pietersen Story

You got what you wanted fellas. You lost to Bangladesh in Australian conditions to the might of the Bangladeshi fast bowlers.
And I'm sure a batsman with about 3 good ODI innings since the 2007 WC would have made all the difference 8-)

Cant believe I'm slightly upset that Banga beat England, but this is what KP has done to us

I think this is the thing that's gonna annoy me most. KP was dead average in OD cricket for 5 years and frickin' retired from them.

Really don't think KP has the fitness for international cricket these days anyway. For all the comparisons to Boycs there's no way KP will still be playing serious cricket into his 40s.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yet again I note that the only people saying he should come back are the non-English. The ones who have more of a handle on what's gone on don't want him anywhere near the team yet get abuse for saying that from people who think they know what's gone on.

In this instance though, it was the person who said right at the start that he has formed his opinions based on looking on from afar and based on what is out in the media, who got personally abused for no reason whatsoever... And I say this again, I DO NOT KNOW what is going on and I am pretty sure none of the other posters here really do either, but maybe you English fans know more than what I do.. But, based on whatever I do know and perceive, I think he is not the only **** in that team and as such has been made the fall guy for what was basically the fault of a whole bunch of people...

come back KP all is forgiven...still the best batsman England have (may not be the best team man) but suck it up ECB and learn how to man manage...any opposition would prefer to face England without KP than with and if they say they dont, they are lying!

He had the best part of a decade to learn, why would he start now with maybe only 5 years left in his career?

He said "come back KP" which is the source of confusion, if indeed I have been confused
Apologies, meant to ad "ECB" before talking about man management..sorry should also have added certainly wouldnt have him back as the captain, just a senior player

edit- fixed now

Reading through the comment by the ECB Chairman, he said, to sum it up, that it is for the selectors to decide. Storm in a tea cup. It will take a lot of unlikely events to change this situation really.

Yep, it would take something as unlikely as Bangladesh eliminating Eng from the WC

Oh wait ......

Anyway, despite the fact that the ECB have been proven to be 100% incorrect in their treatment of KP, there is nothing to be gained from bringing him back now

Sack Downton, Moores the selectors and suck it up for a while amidst copious thrashings is the only answer not KP

Sky Sports News has just said that since 1996, England have only won 27% of WC matches against full members. The problems with England thus are structural and not based on the exclusion of an individual player, obviously seen by the lack of ODI coaches and specialists.

Edit: despite my criticisms of KP, I have a signed copy of his book!
