8 in so far - weeman27bob, Himanv, smalishah84, Blakus, morgieb, kingkallis, 8ankitj, marc71178.
Jager and kyear2 (because he informed me earlier in another thread) complete the 10.

Sorry honestbharani, Cabinet96 and Michaelf7777777. Can keep you as reserves in case somebody drops out, which is a likely event in this long draft.

2 points to note before I start:

1. 10 drafters and 120 players don't automatically ensure 12 players per team. Some may end up with 15, some may end up with 11. But keep in mind that if you end up with less than 11 players then that's game over for you (even if Bradman is among the players you have, for example).

2. If you don't have a specialist keeper in your side then I shall penalise you in the sim by assigning one of your premier bowlers as keepers. Just for the sake of a definition, I am defining a 'specialist keeper' as one who has either kept in 20 test matches, or kept in 50% of the matches he has played or both.

One small hint in the beginning can make your lives easier: There won't be any absolute 'dud' players among the 120, whatever that means.

Uh, presumably if it's an auction, you're not allowed to bid any lower than the current highest bid?
Haha true.

However, because in this case everyone has the option to cancel (and change) one's bid there's no harm in bidding lower than the highest. Those lower bids won't win the player if the higher bids don't change, however.

But if people are making those $1 bids in fear of any heavy penalty (RE: earlier auction drafts), then let me assure you that there's no penalty if you don't bid for a player. You can very well choose not to bid for a player if you don't want to.

Not sure this is fair for some one like Walcott, who started his career as a keeper but only kept in like 15 games due to injury. But your game , your rules, just ask that u reconsider that particular one.

The thing with Walcott in the sim is that if one is allowed to keep him as wicketkeeper-batsman then he starts with an advantage over even the person who has selected the best wicketkeeper-batsman.

I shall allow you to keep him as wicketkeeper for voting, but not for the sim - otherwise it will be unfair for those who have better wicketkeepers. I can't simulate wicketkeeping ability, but can at least force all to have good wicketkeepers - so that the 'missing factor' of wicketkeeping ability doesn't turn out to be v important in the sim.
