    The Ashes - CW's Predictions

Right its happening at the end of this year so where does CW stand at the moment. This should be an interesting Ashes, their best chance to win in Australia since... last time. But hey! That Australian team was better than this one so you never know.

    Australia 2-1 IMO.
    Watson MOTS
    Swann to pull a 05 Warne-lite.
Ponting to score one huge century and do bugger all else.

    Australia 3-1
    Ponting MOTS
England: Cook to score 400+, Broad to be England's best wicket-taker and win one game for them but their lack of cohesion as a batting and bowling unit will cost them. England to really push Australia in most Tests but just be a bit unlucky overall.
Australia: Ponting with 500+ for the series, Dougeh to continue his rich vein of form and mess Strauss' **** up, Johnson solid
Surprise packet: Steve Smith, who will get a go mid-series and take a bag on debut.

If Burgey means Aus to win, i'd back him.

    Australia 4-0 (Adelaide draw)
    Watson MOTS
Collingwood to be annoying again, Pietersen to score 1 century, Swann to be murdered ()
Ponting to score most runs, Hilfy or Harris for most wickets, Johnson to have a decent series
Reckon England will come close to winning a couple of matches, but will falter right at the end.

    Oz 3-1

    Clarke MOTS ()

England: KP top run scorer, Trott to be climbed all over by Bollinger and whoever else is fit to play and dropped by 4th test if series still live, Broad top wicket taker, Strauss to gets lots of starts but nothing really substantial, Jimmeh to be fodder when the kookaburra doesn't swing & Cook to prop up a disappointing series with one big ton in a high scoring draw.

Oz: Clarke top run scorer, Bollinger top wicket taker, North to be replaced either before or early on in series, Watson's bowling to be a factor in one test & Klinger to debut as specialist spinner when Oz slow bowling stocks reach all-time low.

    Aus 4-0

England won't bowl Aus out all series. No England bowler will take more than 10 wickets all series. Batsmen will go ok, but Aus weight ofruns will mean pressure on them all the time. One draw, at least on innings loss as well. Strauss to top score for England

KP to top score for yer Poms, Swann won't take more than 10 all series, Broad wins a match with a 10-fer but does bugger all else

Broad 2 or more 50s in the series
Strauss to miss a game or more through injury (if I had to guess then broken finger)
Swann to be England leading wicket taker with an av of over 35
Watson to score a ton in the first Test

These two are probably the best on.

Clarke top run scorer w/ a double at Adelaide
Johnson/Broad top wicket takers, Broad taking 15+ after the series is dead
Smith to score a humiliating hundred and take a 5for within 48 hours
Strauss to to get to 50/60 and get out on multiple occasions
KP to alternate between brilliant and fail
Watto to set a new low (or high?) for hilarious failures to reach milestones

    (I'm being a bit predictable here aren't I)

Isn't he going to make his debut in the Pakistan series?

Australia to win 5-0, only because 6-0 isn't possible.
Ponting to make a hundred in the first innings in Brisbane.
    Clarke MOTS.
    Swann to do bugger all.
Watson to get out at least twice within ten runs of a milestone.
Ian Bell to be dropped at some point in the series.
Strauss most runs for England. Clarke for Aus.
Bollinger most wickets for Australia. Run outs the most wickets for England...
