Should have been at 6 ages ago! He was seriously selling himself short by batting down the order for so long when he was possibly NZ's best batsman. Great to see him finally be successful up the order.

Na, hasn't really had a lot of Tests since Vettori retired and had an absolutely terrible year with the ball. I'd say in the next 2 or so years he will have.

Nah not as a bowler. Lot to prove in places like Australia, NZ or England. Bangladesh hardly gets to play in those places though but still.

Skill wise, Shakib the Test bowler hasn't improved at all in the last 2-3 years.

He doesn't play enough long-format cricket. He's still pretty good, but he's stagnating.

That series getting canned has robbed a chance for Bangas to continue to show their upward trend. Not saying they would have won but it was shaping up well. Now Shakib will have to wait for Zimbabwe in January. If they're ok to tour there
