Should have been at 6 ages ago! He was seriously selling himself short by batting down the order for so long when he was possibly NZ's best batsman. Great to see him finally be successful up the order.

Agreed, he wasn't doing himself justice - he's a genuine allrounder now batting in the genuine allrounder position. Long may it continue.

Skill wise, Shakib the Test bowler hasn't improved at all in the last 2-3 years.

He doesn't play enough long-format cricket. He's still pretty good, but he's stagnating.

That series getting canned has robbed a chance for Bangas to continue to show their upward trend. Not saying they would have won but it was shaping up well. Now Shakib will have to wait for Zimbabwe in January. If they're ok to tour there
