1/ David Fulton (c)
2/ Rob Key
3/ Ed Smith
4/ Matthew Walker
5/ Andrew Symonds
6/ Mark Ealham
7/ Geraint Jones (wk)
8/ James Treadwell
9/ Amjad Khan
10/ M.Saggers
11/ Alamgir Sheriyar

Above would probably be our Four Day side, with some quality players missing out being......

Michael Carberry - Signed purly as a replacement for Key incase he is away all Summer with England... However he is a England Under 19 player and a good talent that will enjoy the pitches at Canterbury, and could be lined up as a long term replacment for the guys getting on a bit now.

Robert Ferley - Same as Loudon, one to look out for could get the odd games with injuires but will be more likly to develop his skills in the 2nds

James Hewitt - Signed last summer, had very few chances with the bowling department firing so well.

Alex Loudon - Very promising youngster, had a few games last season, but one more to look out for.. can't see him braking into that top order just yet.

Min Patel - James Treadwell, knocked him out both sides last year and Treadwell looks a super prospect, hitting a maiden 100* as a makeshift opener, but more renowned for his spin bowling...

Peter Trego - Heard good things, but can't see him taking either Ealhams or Symonds place, Signed due to Matthew Fleming retiring it was thought they were simalar players, both aggresive in batting and useful medium fast bowlers, however I feel M.Felming under bowled himself alot and was a extermly econ' bowler that will hurt Kent in the One Dayers.

Ben Trott - Out injuried alot last season and Khan took his place and had a blinding debut taking over 60 wkts for the season, now with Alamgir Sheriyar joining the club whos left arm stuff will offer more varity.

Note: 2nd Overseas Player To Be Named

Kent are willing to take them on, afterall we did beat the touring Indian side in a One Day match... And before you say yes the team was at full strenght, it had Shewag, Tendulkar, Harbby, Kumble, Dravid, Ganguly, Mongia, Laxman, Khan etc

Iam sure NSW wouldn't be much harder ;) :P :D

Come to think of it we destoryed Zimbabwe 2 year ago as well by somthing like an inngs and 250+ runs... I'll like to thank R.Dravid for that fine 188*

Pitty the county teams put up slightly more of a fight :(

Rich - Sheriyar? Good signing.

Who is Geraint Jones though? Couldn't you have signed a more high profile keeper?

Geraint Jones - Wasn't signed this year his been on the books for a few seasons now and is being lined up as the next best thing.. I have to admit when we released Paul Nixon it was a shock, I would have at least kept Nixon as backup incase Jones had a bad run or an injury and just generally to learn from him... and the fact Nixon has been outstanding for us

However I was wondering if it was a double bluff as Kent said they wantted a Left Arm bowler to offer varity, however now they have signed Sheriyar that covers that department... So iam wondering if they have turned their sights towards a Keeper????

However he played 4 (first class) matches last year and avg 54, and has played 5 matches overall and has a avg of 42.... So if he keeps that up iam happy.

Yeah I assumed he was a product of the system, I meant I thought you would have signed someone more high profile. Will be tough to follow in the footsteps of Nixon. We will have the same problem soon - as with England and Stewart people have been thinking for years Aymes won't be around much longer. He's still doing it but is like 37 or something now so we need to explore this area.
