Warnes greatest deliveries/ dismissals.

Does anyone remember the one at home vs India, about 5 years ago? It was a huge turner, which I think bowled a guy behind his legs. I'd like to get hold of it on tape or something.

Other than that...Off the top of my head.

1- The Gatting ball.
2- Todays Strauss.
3- Gooch bowled behind his legs in the same game as Gatting I think.
4 -The Gibbs world cup 99 ball.
5- When he bowled a Pakistani, actually through his legs about 10 years ago I think now.
6- The Richie Richardson classic flipper.
7- Chanderpaul bowled out of the rough in Australia.

What others spring to mind?

Cut some slack guys?

I was in awe of that ripper that got Strauss out. Unbelievable.

The guy - sorry, make that BOTH Shane Warnes - get what they deserve.

Everyone knows my feelings about Shane Warne the bowler - greatest leg-spinner the world has ever seen, and in this match has produced TWO absolutely unbelievable deliveries. I'm also tempted to suggest that there might be more than the odd screw loose upstairs - a flawed genius if ever there was one.

Shane Warne the irrelevant thread starter just likes to bask in the reflected glory of his chosen userid persona - I guess he gets off every time he reads the words "Shane Warne is a legend".

Was that enough slack?

Incidentally, my favourite was the Gatting ball.

Warne is indeed a rare talent but Andrew Strauss' leave was about as convincing as those television commercials when gaily clad young housewives talk solemnly to one another about the relative merits of washing powders.

It certainly, er, cleaned him up

I think the ball I was referring to was MSK Prasad bowled by Warne at the Adelaide Oval in 1999.

Does anyone know where I can get a tape/dvd of this game or series highlights?

Pretty much his whole spell in the '99 WC semi-final was awesome. The gibbs one was good but the one to Kallis where he took the pace off was also awesome, esp in the context of the game.

you can add

8. Laxman last year
9. Vaas in Colombo last year
10. Tendulkar in Chennai 98 in the 1st innings where he had the great man caught at slip with a classic leg-break.

Favourite memory of Warne was during last WC.

Turns up to Crown Casino in flash sports car, tosses keys to valet, and engages drunken punters in taxi line in banter.

Virtually anyone else on drugs charges would've been in hibernation.
