First goalless game then. Shouldn't complain really, been brilliant thus far

Haha. Neil Lennon in the BBC studio just saying that Ambrose is too **** to cross the ball properly. Not even trying to sugar coat it.

Iran just came to defend. This is one of the weakest Iranian teams in memory and certainly the weakest that has gone to a WC. The more experienced players from Iran that had stints in Europe are gone and this is mostly a domestic team. Even saying that, I don't know why Queiroz tried so hard to defend. We are still more of an attacking team. A draw, a point, is good I suppose so can't complain. I think they've basically bet on themselves to beat Bosnia - a team we've got a very good record against and are more familiar with - and that will probably be enough to send us through. Otherwise, no one has been expecting much from this team.

Argies better score soon, otherwise this is going to be a rather dull affair

EDIT: Repeatedly missing clear headers from three yards doesn't help

Really feels like the only way Argentina are getting a goal is if Messi creates one on his own. Not that different from the Bosnia game really. Strange for a team with so much talent.

edit: It's also weird that Argentina still haven't made any subs. You'd think after more than an hour of failing to score against Iran they'd change something.

Took until the 60th minute for his name to be called this half. It's interesting watching him ghost into apparently dangerous positions and his team mates seem incapable of getting the ball to him consistently tbh.

He's looked most dangerous when he's gone deep to get the ball himself, which I suppose means Iran deserves a lot of defensive kudos too.

Some of the balls into the box have been amazingly bad, even discounting the several which somehow ended up into the crowd

Well that bit of ineptitude by Palacio is a pretty good representation of Argentina today

What's Palacio doing there? Been on 5 minutes, gets a decent ball played to the by line for him and seems incapable of running for it.

Hahahaha that was the only way they were going to win hey

That is just sheer brilliance though. Nothing anyone can do about that.
