An innings of staggering ineptitude from Afridi. Slogs and misses then spoons a drive down to deep extra cover.

"Whatever the situation he'll play his shots", yes Wasim, but **** me.
Hi :o)

That should long ago have been changed to, :Whatever the situation, he will find a way to throw away his wicket"

So odd how a warm up game is being played after the start of a tournament. Luke Wright dominating atm, WAG.

Madness, IMHO. Praveen with one leg would be better than Pathan or Balaji. Not like India is short of batting depth. Ashwin aside, the Indian bowling looks a real Achilles Heel.
Fletch hasn't had a second look at him after England. Seems weird, but wouldn't be surprised if big Dunc feels he wasn't going to be successful anywhere else.

Yeah, could easily see it. He does have a big hard-on for pace and bounce with control be damned. Witness Saj's & Plunkett's test careers...

Meanwhile Pakistan making heavy going of 111, although with Razzaq still there there's a chance they'll still make the 21 they need off the last 7 balls.

EDIT: Nup, red rover. Dernbach gets his man. 93/8 with 4 to come. Pitch must be like a ploughed field.

Not sure what you can take from a low scoring win in a win up game. Least both sides can say they may have got a poor batting display out of the way before the main event starts.

England still can't play decent spinners.

Pakistan's batting is still horrible against anyone above average.

I can't see that there won't be any further poor batting displays from these two sides.
