The World Cup 2011 Predictions Thread.

    Go on then.

    Winners
    Finalists / Semi - Finalists
    Player Of The Tournament
    Top Run Scorer
    Top Wicket Taker
    Surprise Package
    Surprise Failures
    AOP (any other predictions)

    Starting us off:

    Winners: Sri Lanka
South Africa as runners up, India and Bangladesh 3rd and 4th.
    Mahela Jayawardne, top run scorer
Shakib Al Hasan to be POTT and the top wicket taker, winning at least one match practically on his own
Bangladesh evidently the surprise package, who will beat Australia in a QF upset
England and Australia to disappoint, they will make selectorial errors and go home before the semis.
And we still haven't walked in the glow of each other's majestic presence.

Seriosly this world cup cannot be predicted. In reality the WC starts from the QF stage. You can win 5 games have a bad day on the QF and you are out.

I would stay out of this predicting business.. It's actually a stupid format..

Yeah, but this is 50 overs! And less likelihood of rain shortages = winner.

Proudly against the bring back Bennett movement since he is injury prone and won't last 5 days.
