I didnt realise this till you pointed it out.

I suppose they are too 'propah' to evoke any kind of 'emotional' response to the individual (which is what this is) rather than his game.

Surprisingly, even if I start looking back at all the English players I vave seen (and that goes back over forty years) I would still not add many.

Among those I liked of the Englishmen since early sixties, I would name,Tom Graveney, D'Oliviera and , probably Graham Gooch.

Amongs those who I didnt particularly like was Boycott(then-I love him now as a commentator) and Gatting and perhaps Hemmings- I dont know exactly why Hemmings

Actually, I like all current wicketkeepers in world cricket. I put Sangakarra to make the eleven

I think he doesnt look too friendly in the interviews that I have seen. No big deal, I agree.
