Just looking at sixes. SA love them.

Neth 18, Eng/Afg 27, Ban 30, SL 35, Pak 41, Ind 48, NZ 58, Aus 61 and SA 82
Sharma leads with 20.

82 Sixes hit by South Africa in seven matches in this tournament, the most by a team in a men's ODI World Cup. They surpassed England's 76 sixes in 11 matches in the 2019 World Cup.

Apparently the 3 highest individual innings against Australia in World Cups now belong to Neil Johnson, Chris Harris and Zadran.

Perhaps not the 3 names you'd expect to see.
Nobody's ever done better than Johnson's 132, damn. Seems so low

Erm, got a feeling a few have just been smashed to smithereens.

Highest score by a number 6, highest 8th wicket partnership, highest score by an Aussie, highest score after fall of 7th wicket........and ****loads more!!

Perera is now the fastest to 50 in World Cups (7.3 overs) beating the record set by Warner a week ago by one ball.

Record ODI total will be broken by Pakistan against England, as we bat first, and then get to the semis on run rate.

Either that, or we break the record for fastest chase, and chase down England's total in 2 overs.

Most Wickets in a Single World Cup by Spinners

23 - Muthiah Muralidaran (2007)
22 - Adam Zampa (2023)*
21 - Brad Hogg (2007)
21 - Shahid Afridi (2011)
20 - Shane Warne (1999)

Zampa becames Most Wicket taken by an Aussie spinner in a World Cup Edition.

He likes bowling flat does Zampa. For me in ODI cricket, Warne is clearly the best, followed by Hogg - both turned the ball both ways. Zampa hardly turns the ball apart from his wrong-un. Both Hoggy and Warnie used to bowl the traditional Flipper too.
