Feels about right except I'd swap SA & Aust around.

Would have backed Pakistan to take the last SF place but Naseem's injury is a big blow and their batting isn't great. Probably India England Australia South Africa.

South Africa's specialists are good but there's absolutely no balance to the lineup at all. Their best eleven somehow seems a batsman short *and* a bowling option short.

Sri Lanka have conditions on their side to some extent but I find them vastly over-rated on this forum tbh. More likely to finish behind Bangladesh than make the semi finals.

Mostly agree with this but will add that that India, at home, have a pretty clear gap from England and the latter are more amongst the chasing pack of Aus/Pakistan/NZ/SA.

Yeah, SA needs some luck to go deep, but we're due some luck in big tournaments, FFS.

One top team under-performing a bit and South Africa beating NZ in that 50/50ish contest will get you into the semi finals so I'm obviously not ruling it out at all.

Going into a tournament as the sixth best team, making the semi finals and then getting beaten by a better side will no doubt be called a "choke" though given some people just think that means "when South Africa lose a knock out" - and that'll be annoying as **** for a couple of days so I'm kind of actively hoping you miss out just to avoid that.There have been enough actual chokes without pseudochoking.

Yeah I think England are kind of in their own category in between India and the rest of the top 6.

Agree with the consensus here. It's India [gap] England [small gap] Aus/SA/Pakistan/NZ.

If Head is fit then Aus are probably similar strength to England, if not then they're in the mix with the other 3.

I realise Shanto has finally come good in his last few games but they really should have gone in with the experienced blokes in the top order IMO.

And Hridoy has been good at 5.

They obviously lack good finishers, but Rahim isn't really one either and they're missing out on a good #4 by playing him there. Shakib and Mahmudullah each having a gun WC at 3 and then immediately getting moved way down the order right afterwards is peak Bangladesh too.

Tamim obviously not playing at all now which is a big blow.

Apart from that upset they pulled off against India, Bangladesh have been just horrible of late. Hard to see them squeaking into the 4.

They're only really any chance of beating good teams on bowling decks IMO. If the par score is 300+ they've basically already lost.
