1.
2. Ward was a decent keeper but struggled to hold the bat straight.

Thats a problem.

The selected candidates have to be TERRIBLE in the area they are specialising in. I would prefer a keeper who cant even catch a cold in Alaska :p
Yeah but most guys that couldn't catch a cold can bat. It pretty hard to find a hopeless keeper who can't bat either.

Probir Sen of India kept wickets in 14 tests and yet had no victim !!

And he averaged 11 with the bat.

Jayawardane of Sri Lanka had no victims in 5 tests and averaged 3.00 with the bat :D

Tim Wall.......a 'superb' average of 36 and was a strike bowler amongst the fuddy duddies.
Wall was, by all accounts, a quality bowler who didn't have things go his way exactly in the tests. Not a great player by any means, but not worthy of a worst ever XI in my opinion.

I always assumed the worst wicketkeeper to play the game was that Iqbal fellow from Kenya - 1996 World Cup.

11 Stumpings in 14 games, better then most keepers. He can keep to my off breaks any day of the week :D

He was also wrong about Jayawardne 11 dismissals in 5 games, shows he can keep so also out of picture.

I need a crap keeper who can't bat, someone help me find one. :D

It can mean only one thing, I did something wrong when using the auto filter on the excel based data of mine.

Very stupid of me

I should have checked and rechecked for such a strange record :@

Lesson for the future...I hope

Well i was going to do a comperhensive search to find the worst XI (statiscally) with the limitations that SJS put forward, but i found eleven really crap players from South Africa so i just made an XI from them.

What do u guys think, can u come up with a worse side.
Bangladesh?

11 in 5 games?

2.2 per game - that's hardly showing he can keep!

I don't think anyone had a serious problem with Tsolekile's 'keeping. Also, someone needs to inform xan_pro as to what constitutes a Test match.
