Early stoppage, but Cejudo was winning and would have won anyways the way the fight was going IMO

Can't believe he retired tho wtf. So many great matchups left for him.

That was a hell of main event, thought Tony would get it done after been dominated in the first few rounds, but nope just domination.

That was a good PPV, obviously morally unsure it should be happening, but if Dana White and the governor of Florida want to entertain me during the lockdown, not going to argue.

Could catch up on gaethje vs tony. Damn tony got ****ed up real bad there. Brutal eye cut. Perfect match by gaethje. What happens next now? Khabib vs gaethje?

Tony was way too complacent about his striking that he didn't use his wrestling or jiu-jitsu. It was really upsetting to watch el cucuy wobbling away from Justin.

Yeah he played right into what justin would have wanted. If justin wants to challenge khabib then he needs to work on his ground game I’d imagine. He’s awesome standing up but khabib will take him down for sure

Gaethje is a division 1 wrestler but still his grappling is nowhere near Khabib's. I think the fight would go down just like the Khabib-Porier fight.

Stick a fork in Woodley, he's done

Didn't look right Vs Kimaru, I think his heart hasn't been in it for a while since before that fight.

Time to transition into Hip Hop.

I think the Wonderboy and Maia fights ruined him. He had to develop such a specialised, defensive style for them, that when he fights an aggressive pressure fighter who can throw a variety of output non stop for 5 rounds, all he can do is defend. He doesn't get those openings he's trained himself to exploit, the kind of openings he got with Wonderboy and Maia

Plus I think the whole hip hop/rap/celebrity culture thing mean's his heart just isn't really in fighting anymore. That's 10 rounds he's been absolutely dominated in without showing any offence. Yes Usman and Burns are killers, but he just hasn't shown any offence.

I'm just so disappointed, because I'm a big Woodley fan. Such an intelligent fighter and won some really good fights. Hate to see him go out like this.

He's just a bit one-dimensional. You can't expect to beat guys of this level with an overhand right every time. If the guy knows what he's doing, there's not going to be many openings, and with basically no kicking game, a pretty weak jab, and **** cardio - it's hard to make that skillset work.

there's something to this, but I think he's pared down his skillset over time. He didn't start off a one trick pony - sure he clobbered Robbie, but his title defences were built around having good offensive wrestling, good top control, decent BJJ, and he knew how to leg kick and level change into his strikes. Plus he was very, very good at landing that overhand right. Like, Romero level good. He could lose rounds but he was gathering info, finding his openings, and throwing shots when they presented himself.

The Woodley we've now seen vs Usman and Burns just had no offensive output whatsoever. Just backing himself into the cage and getting beat up, taken down, controlled on the ground. A few of the big right hands he threw were comically bad. This isn't simply a case of a fighter that has just failed to evolve. It feels like he's actually gotten worse, and is basically what you now describe - an overhand right and literally nothing else. He's gone too defensive and too far into his shell. You can't win an MMA fight unless you actually throw some output.

I wonder how much his injuries have had to do with this as well.

Nunes is astonishing, absolutely murdered a useful opponent in Spencer who will take a long time to recover from that.

Brutal knockouts from Cody and O 'Malley also, decent PPV overall.

Nunes should legitimately fight a 125 pound man.

Sugar Sean's KO was so slick. That little right uppercut feint is so good in that it would only work at the UFC level. Most humans don't have the reactions to bite on a feint that subtle to begin with. Does just enough to get the guard to drop, and has enough time and speed to set his feet and torque into the right hand behind it. Beautiful.

Cody's '**** You' power will make sure he's always a contender at bantam weight. I couldn't watch the whole fight, did he fight dumb and just survive long enough to land the bomb, or was he legitimately fighting well for 2 rounds till that happened.

Aljo getting a finish is great as well. Aljo vs Cody next? great style contrast, and that hair vs that beard. yes plz.
