Pity to see some of the higher profile players leave. But this does mean we'll get some more new guys I guess, and that's always good.

And by the way Andrew, in terms of where I like to bat, generally anywhere in the top four :p

Hey - am one of the rookies - MT Mitchell
basically i'm a tailender, bowling FM, based on the off season my OD stuff has been shockingly bad but in the longer version i'm leading wicket taker for San Fernando (when all the stats were done)
looking forward to doing well for Green :)

It would also be helpful if the new guys could let me know abit about themselves (according to the way they signed up), things like where you like to bat, are you agressive or defensive, what you bowl, are you economic or more of a wicket taker etc etc.
Bat @7,8,9
Bowl Legspin mainly economic but will break partnerships when it matters
leaning towards the defensive side in Batting but will cut loose when needed

yeah i will have a look and can probably post some provisional sides tonight, off the top of my head you will probably be opening in the ODers, probably with me again, and batting at 4 in the FC games.

well Rose and Cameron will likley share the new ball, with Cunningham and Weber behind that, will probably play another bowler in there too depending on the conditions.

The batting im not quite as sure about - Sajith and Bharat will be under pressure to step up with the departures of Goff and Walsh - and they will also be under pressure from our rookie batsmen who are putting in some good performances in club cricket.

Hey Andrew would it be possible for you to let me open the bowling in one-dayers? I find I do much better there but i'm not too worried about bowling first or second change in the two-dayers, or opening the bowling for that matter either.

Thinking about the OD side first of all

Preliminary First XI
1. R Malone
2. A Garven
3. P Bharat
4. D Singh
5. A Lezama
6. P Sajith
7. X Rose
8. B Cunningham
9. S Popat
10. T Weber
11. A Cameron

12. RG Verghese

Lots of guys there with plenty to prove - really only Bugs (R Malone) and Rose have good OD records. The bowlers will have to lift alot - Hoy will be hard to replace.

Rose and Cunningham to share the new ball there - not sure about the deth yet, hopefully someone will show how effective they can be at the death early in the season

do remember that all players not actually playing in the 12 will be playing club cricket which will be an excellent oportunity - particularly for the new blokes to show me what they can do.
