The First Tied Test (Almost)

Another worthy addition to the oeuvre, fred. One assumes the anthology will be in all good bookstores by Xmas?

A series I rather shamefully knew literally nothing about, even to the extent that the final series result was news to me, although the article's opening stanzas didn't read like it was going to pan out as a win for the tourists.

Seems incredible that England (or the MCC, I suppose, strictly speaking) didn't send her best players for an Ashes tour.

In those days the Ashes Tour would take up at least 7 months of their lives including travel time and a lot of the top players weren’t pros.
