Hargreaves is no good at anything. Phil Neville would have been a better call.roseboy64 said:Had a rethink. Should have left out a midfielder and put in another forward. Bent or Defoe, makes no difference. Hargreaves is a utility player so he stays. Lennon can create mor eimpact than Jenas so he would have been left out for me.
haha. So funny.Matteh said:Walcott ahead of Defoe, Vassell, Bent, Johnson - what?!
Bent still has a case though being the top English scorer last season.Neil Pickup said:Hargreaves is no good at anything. Phil Neville would have been a better call.
Ashton is injured and ergo was never being picked. Darren Bent is no good at anything. Andrew Johnson is no good at anything. For me, the two who have the right to feel the most hard-done-by are Defoe & King. But Sven was probably just worried they'd give the others Montezuma's Revenge.
Actually I've seen him play live, at Fratton Park when Norwich were in the Premiership.Anna said:1) *Humph* Bet you've never seen him play!!!! He's far more consistent than James'll ever be.
2) Yes, but remember that the opposition won't have a clue which'll (hopefully) play into our hands
3) From the sound of it, Terry'll be fine in a week or so, so I wouldn't have him down as a doubt
So, so trueNeil Pickup said:Hargreaves is no good at anything.
Fair enough, wasn't aware of that fact.Ashton is injured and ergo was never being picked.
Also very true. Johnson just dives. That's it. There's no creativity or movement in his game IMO.Darren Bent is no good at anything. Andrew Johnson is no good at anything.
Spot on. I firmly believe he's one of the worst players ever to play for England. A complete disgrace.Anna said:Also very true. Johnson just dives. That's it. There's no creativity or movement in his game IMO.
King and Parker both being injured might have had some bearingaussie said:Why is King not there, he could have slotted him as mid-filed possibility at least ahead of Hargreaves, plus i know it wouldn't have happened but Parker should have been their ahead of Jenas..
Gary McSheffrey got as many goals as him this season, and he was playing Left wing!Anna said:Another thing.......Andy Johnson as standby?!?!?!?!! I don't rate him at all.
He's 26, been playing for Norwich since 1998 and has over 200 games under his belt.Barney Rubble said:He's a fantastic young goalkeeper, and has a lot of potential,
Funny you mention him - i laughingly told a(nother) Coventry fan that i'd rather have been him picked for England than Walcott - at least he's scored loads of goals in the championship this season.marc71178 said:Gary McSheffrey got as many goals as him this season, and he was playing Left wing!
Goalkeepers don't peak until about 32. And I'd say he's shown his potential already, he was fantastic in the Premiership for Norwich.Matteh said:He's 26, been playing for Norwich since 1998 and has over 200 games under his belt.
If he hasn't shown his potential yet, don't think it'll be coming soon![]()
It's a shame about Kirkland - so much potential but he's faded away somewhat.
Difficult to come to terms with, I know...Pedro Delgado said:Well I'm with Scaly, luckyeddie and Mike Parry.
Odd bedfellows..
That doesn't make him good.roseboy64 said:Bent still has a case though being the top English scorer last season.
some of the top scorers from the premiership have been absolute rubbish for england though, such as ian wright (great man), kevin philips and to a lesser extent (dont want to play for england B) Chris SuttonBent still has a case though being the top English scorer last season.
