Flem, I’m so disheartened you’ve not been listening in baiting/ trolling classes in the Platinum Lounge. There’s so much to work with here, and that’s what you come up with?

Am disappoint.
you say this, but people are still replying to this important new info with multiple paragraphs.

i think it is quite clear australia were cheating at least all series. their win at all costs mindset under lehmann, not to mention fostering a violent culture (michael clarke courageously asking a #11 if he'd like someone else to break his arm from the safety of the slip cordon), was getting out of hand.

clarke wouldn't have the balls. he was the ponce hiding behind the bully dishing out the chat to the kids who couldn't defend themselves (england).

you could say australia were fostering toxic masculinity.

These personality defects are deeply embedded in Australian culture and reach out much farther than just the Australian team. You can observe a daft, emotionally stunted hard man gimmick in many Australian posters here.

That's a grand, sweeping generalisation to make there. Think you'll find there's people like this in most, if not all cultures. Symbolic of how most people are ****s tbh

Says the bloke who wrote an apology for Gavaskar’s racism. Well rounded character you.

gavaskar doesn't know any better. you see this everywhere in indian male culture. they are violently insecure, a trait they share with the other inferior men like the australians, so any threat to them must be belittled or lashed out at. gavaskar was intimidated by the crowds but lacked the mana to confront them like a man should, so he wrote some words in a book years later when he was safely out of danger.

of course, if you force the indian male into a corner, he will lash out defensively as we see with harbhajan singh in an airport when staff asked him to clean his shoes. of course i have to be fair, harbhajan cannot be expected to show some spine when his skipper was terrified of grass and spent most press conferences ranting that grass is an unfair surface to play cricket on.

moving back to the australians, i think it's fairly obvious the reason they are so good at fast bowling is because some misguided souls feel the need to become alpha males to protect their beta male friends in the side they feel sorry for. the australian batsman understands his home conditions, but is confounded by the moving or spinning ball. his reaction to this is to chat it up because cricket is a non contact sport, but as the stopped clock gavaskar almost observed correctly, an alpha male might make it a contact sport.

so the alphas in australia learned to bowl fast and protect their friends, and the unfortunate side effect is this has only made them chattier. it would be kinder for the alpha quicks to let nature run its course.

i think it is fairly obvious that had brad haddin chosen to applaud jesse ryder from the field instead of martin guptill, brad haddin would have been celebrating the success of mitchell starc that evening in the intensive care unit on life support. if michael clarke had threatened to break roy gilchrists arm, he would be dead.

excellent thread

Australia's behaviour on the field has been known by everyone to be absolutely atrocious for ages. They're the biggest ****s on the field, there's simply been no comparison for the last few decades.

It's hilarious that the same team that spent an entire session sledging a new player (who then ended up the series highest run getter) then completely broke down when someone got in their faces to give them send offs and Faf confronted them half naked in a towel. Couldn't have happened to a better bunch of blokes.

I did feel sorry for Smith though because he clearly had problems making friends in his younger days and probably just wanted to fit in with the cool guys.

All in all it's great that the incident happened because it seems like Paine's done a fantastic job with them since taking over.
