As you so aptly displayed even the English have pathetic arrogant immature supporters who can dish it out but find it hard to take. :D :D :D
I don't quite see how you come to that conclusion - your logic is baffling to say the least.

As far as a forecast for the Ashes is concerned, I'd go for 3-1 to Australia, possibly 3-2 as an outside bet.

any comments??
Maintaining pressure on Australia for 4-5 days is whats needed, some teams have put pressure on Aus for several sessions but not for any extended amount of time so that will be the key.

England may have the bowling to do this but I dont think the batting will be able to keep up the momentum if they do bowl well. They will for periods of time but not over the series and this will tell in the end IMO. England may win one test and draw one but I dont think they can beat Australia. Eng need to start well so Aus cant build up confidence at the start and make them realise it wont be all their own way, a poor start by Eng could lead to Aus playing at their ruthless best.

You made a derogatory remark about Ausralians and Cameel said you were harsh and you responded with a wisecrack.

I responded with another wisecrack, your response was well less than civil and showed when the joke was on you it was beyond you to respond without resorting to personal abuse.

1. I cannot think of a more derogatory term than 'Australian'
2. Cameel is new to CW and doesn't understand that I have a sense of humour which is appreciated by some (yes, even some Australians). He quite naturally thought that I have a downer on you bread-stealers and sheep-rustlers, but he now knows different.
3. Your wisecrack was very much appreciated - it was quite good for you. No, really, it was. It reflects your new, mature attitude. Much better than your usual pulling the legs off spiders (please, please try it with a funnel-web).
4. In order for me to make a civil reply, I would have to BE civil. This, clearly, is impossible.
5. Please show me where I was being abusive - and don't come back with the fact that I insulted your nation. Come on. You haven't apologised to the world for Gough Whitlam OR Kylie Minogue yet.
6. My God - I just referred to 'your nation'. That's akin to awarding it a state of legitimacy. Naturally, I meant 'Penal colony'.
7. You're an amateur

Sorry, but you produced Maggie Thatcher and Robbie Williams. This is far, far worse.

Well, the last England team managed to. So did the one before that. And the one before that. And the one before that.

You're all right (in small doses) Scally.

As far as what I'll be like after this year's Ashes - just the same as I am before. Unfathomable.

Don't worry, Australia has only got 2 or 3 decent players and only wins because of their sledging, favoratism by the umpires and, of course, the ICC conspiracy.
You joke, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone posted that were England to win the Ashes

whats wrong with gough?? (whitlam, that is)
Absolutely nothing - one of the stars of international politics in the 1970's (and IIRC a good sport too, making guest appearances in such classics as "Barry McKenzie Holds His Own")

so that thing before about us giving the world gough whitlam (not that he really affected the world) was just because he was an easy target??? and i'd sure as hell like to take him up on his offer of free tertiary education, as opposed to having $30 000 debt coming out of uni.

Absolutely. Can you think of a better reason?

he hired the guy who sacked him??
That too.

I'll come back to those appearances in the Barry McKenzie films - Gough was great, and it'll be a long time before you see his like again. It's no coincidence that Whitlam made cameo appearances in 2 of the 3 Australian cinematic iconic moments of all time (the other being Yahoo Serious's true-to-life portrait of Einstein).

It's a little-known fact, though, that one night in 1957, Whitlam went out for a few beers with famous architect Jorn Utzon and got caught short after a kebab.

It was Gough Whitlam's hemorrhoids which gave Utzon the seeds of an idea which eventually became the design of the Sydney Opera House.

Anyone else you'd like insulting?
