Finally some senseNo, he isn’t. Steve Smith is.
Kiwis are not capable of producing ATGs. This is cricket, not rugby.

iirc Bancroft scored the most runs for the Aussies in that seriesWilliamson would have averaged 65 plus if he was allowed to carry sand paper in his pocketses
He has to be an all time great. What is the criteria of ATG?
big penisWhat is the criteria of ATG?

No, Garner has a bigger penis for his batting.ftfy
We already are Down Under - more Down Under than Aus. Look at a mapThe question is will they show some fight this time or continue to get fizzled Down Under?
Haha yes I have always found this oddI mean how can you guys seriously debate who is an ATG or not when no one agrees on what an ATG is. Have that debate first ffs.
Please don't.Have that debate first ffs.
It's not that it's wrong, it just belongs in a different tier of argument. The best batsmen are the ones that score thousands of runs at ridiculous averages. When we're nitpicking between those batsmen we all have our own ideas of what matters, whether it's home/away splits, performance against the best teams, era adjustments, condition difficulty adjustments, technique, aesthetics, strike rate, longevity, peak level, reputation among contemporaries, whatever. But surely we can agree that the best batsmen are the ones that score loads and loads and loads of runs. Like Williamson.Williamson is both an undoubtedly great player but also has some pretty huge holes in his record that most all time greats don't. The scheduling luck is only partly true imo, he's had quite a few disappointing tours to the better teams in his peak years and when it comes to rating him among the very best this will obviously matter. It's likely his away record would be better if he'd gotten more chances, but it's still a pretty generous benefit of doubt to give anyone.
Williamson is an ATG 'cause he good at cricket and score big runs, bigger runs than other players who also good at cricket.
Honestly, these numbers are pretty mediocre.Kane Williamson’s away test record(min : 2 tours)
SA : Avg of 21 in 4 Tests
SL : Avg of 29 in 6 Tests
Eng : Avg of 30 in 8 Tests
Ind : Avg of 33 in 8 Tests
Aus : Avg of 41 in 7 Tests
*excluding matches in WI, Zim & Ban

RIS already gave the TLDR version:
by being an all time great batsman.
Calm downWhat a read lol. Love CW and its part of my life but fmd the cricket chat sometimes is just bizarre.......I mean how can you guys seriously debate who is an ATG or not when no one agrees on what an ATG is. Have that debate first ffs.
Kane Williamson is an absolutely incredible batsmen, walks into any side in the world during his playing career and that is not debatable. Yes you can pick holes in his stat's as you can with say Ponting, Warne, J Anderson, Root etc etc I class all of those as atg so KW absolutely makes my cut.......if he doesn't make yours well **** hot for you. Youve just set different parameters. You don't have to be the 2nd Don or Malcolm Marshall to be rated amongst the best ever.
Oh and @Majestic get in the bin.......absolutely dire input from you.
