T20 Auction Draft

CricAddict

Cricketer Of The Year
So, after a long long round of auction, all bids are done and all players have been sold. All except one franchise have been able to complete their minimum squad of 15. I will leave it to the other franchise owners to decide if we can allow AZH's franchise also to participate in the league or not.

So, the Premier league is going to get underway now. Below is how it will play.

1. I will use the randomizer to generate competing teams for the 4 quarterfinals that will happen at the same time

2. All franchise owners are requested to post their team XI

3. All of us will vote for the 4 semifinalists here for the next 48 hours post posting the match-ups

4. Please note that 2 players from each franchise are to be released to the India-Australia tests that are going on in parallel

1AndyZaltzHairvsAtaraxiaLord's, UKA flat batting track and both teams are expected to make a huge score. It looks like even 200 could be difficult to defend here
2JOJOXIvsHonest HunksSabina Park, JamaicaLooks like a pitch of the olden days and expected to assist sheer pace throughout the day. With good pace off the pitch, we also expect run scoring to be faster. Looks like very less assistance for spinners
3MichaelvsLiving LegendsHagley Oval, NZSwing and reverse swing. With clouds hovering above, we expect swing bowlers to make hay initially. But it still looks like a 160 vs 160 track. Batsmen if settled can go on and make a good attacking score
4TeutonvsHimannv HotheadsDubaiA day match with dew expected later in the evening. Pitch has multiple cracks and expected to assist spin

It will be great if AZH is allowed to participate since it can simplify things. You can pm me if you have concerns on AZH participating without a complete squad. In that case, I will change it to a group stage instead of quarterfinals.

If you guys feel a league based winner will take too much time, we can just go with voting as usual. Please suggest.

A supreme batting lineup able to chase down just about anything is paired with a good bowling attack, with two very economical bowlers in there.

That is a solid top 3 put up by Ataraxia and that line-up is going to be difficult to get through in these flat conditions. We now eagerly await what the other franchise @AndyZaltzHair puts up

A sim would have been great for this but since none has been suggested I guess we don't have that capability available amongst the group?

An aggressive batting line-up that bats deep. Plenty of bowling options.

Maninder Singh and Glenn McGrath released I guess. Bowling seems to have taken a hit.

Not a fan of the voting format if there's no sim. Not sure I see the point.

My voting will be on actual, proven T20 and ODI form. It would be pure supposition to state that players from an earlier era could adapt when we have already witnessed VG Test players struggle to perform well in white ball cricket.
