The good thing about conceding a 135 partnership is that your opponents will slog out cheap wickets at the end - three caught behinds in one over lol

It's an interesting game with a guy who joined about the same time as me and who's also trying to avoid the drop from our T20 league (three strong teams plus a good rebuilder in it)

BOT and I only 3000 rating apart... this can go very wrong! This is also the BOT I previously lost to.
Well they're 51/5 in 16 overs, so it's going to take something spectacular for the TMO boys to **** this up.

ZCC pulled this kid today:

Useful transitional Dev squad player to have, will keep him around. The interesting bit is his bowling - quite tempted to develop him into a part-time option for the middle/later overs of a game...

And in the T20 League, ZCC need 116 to win on home turf. 53 wear plus something in the surface for the quicks, but hopefully this is a low enough score that we can chase it down without too much drama. 3-0-26-4 for Tim Chester, inspired selection if I do say so myself. Really good bowling effort allround, let's hope the batters back it up.

Pol De Klerk 4-1-4-3. Already paid back his giant transfer fee of *checks notes* 2k
I could not quite understand why I got him for 2000... well trained, not exactly old, not terrible fielding or stamina. And as long as I can play him a few games a week should not deteriorate. Just a great player for lower div stuff.

a badly timed "one brings two" as both set batsmen get out once the RRR had gotten down to a run a ball

edit: Simba wanted a bonus point, smacks 13 off the easy played pace of Caswell

Captain leads from the front.

And Dynamo hit seven sixes as we got the bonus point win. Four batsmen struck above 180. Must have been played on an IPL wicket

Jalal with a six to win it. Going to pretend they did that on purpose for the IGT, but we may have lost the bonus point in the process. Let's see how the points table shakes up, if other results go our way then we may sneak into 1st place. Looking good heading into tomorrow's CWC 2 semi final. Pitch is going to be an absolute minefield though, improves Schmaltzberg's chances for an upset.

Over to FHK who play on a high moisture high wear deck later tonight. Real sticky dog. LOY rested due to fitness issues, Ivan Lam brought in for an extra seam option + batting depth. LOY will feature in the CWC2 semi final vs Morpork tomorrow tho. Flat pitch, lots of runs on offer, will need him to take crucial wickets.

FHK post 110/6 batting first. Might not be a bad score given the conditions. Let's see if we can defend it.

A decent YP for FHK too, could be a useful bowler for Dev cricket in his later years and till then will do a job as specialist lower order batter and fielder vs bots.

Welp. We had them 25/3 after the powerplay, but they got the remaining 86 needed in just 8.2 overs for only 1 more wicket :( Maybe I gave Lester and Ivan too many overs in a row, they got torn apart.

Another loss for FHK :( sigh. Gonna be one of those seasons.

Team news for the CWC2 semis: Ernie Waters (27) joins the fray for Dynamo Morpork after his match winning league 60 today, replacing Louis Kotze. With the weather set fair, Morpork go for two spinners, Van Heerdens accompanying Bronkhorst.

Schmaltzberg's lineup is predicted to be quite similar to the one that lost by 90 runs at the Dom Dom ground in June; however new recruit Adrian Forbes will take the new ball, most likely replacing Ndlovu, and there is a chance young leg-spinner Payne is dropped for an extra batsman.
