Stumped!

Taufeeq Bashir takes 3 wickets in 4 balls (the 4th of which was a wide), and 3 more wickets fall in the next 4 overs. Springproteas collapse from 113/2 to 136/8, in line with their 53K top order and 34k middle order ratings.

Still in for a tricky chase here.

154 to win. Less than a 4 an over, but we've lost a wicket in the 1st over. Going to be nervy this. Pitch is a minefield.

Meanwhile how sad is FHK's home record this season:

BOT 135/9.... with MTO having bowled 45 extras. But quite pleased with that because it is an entirely inexperienced attack, and playing with 3 spinners. Hoping to get decent IGT for the batsmen as well.

GG took down a bot clinically today, batted first and put up 268/7 on the board.
Cornelius Human with 85 and Riaan de Villiers with 56.
Bowled out the bot for 107. Plaatjies with 3 wickets, Obeysekere with 2.

FFS, all out for 119 :( To add insult to injury they used 8 bowlers as well. Pitch was a minefield, we really shouldn't have let them score 150+, but their opener played a fantastic innings. Could have chased it if Grubs managed to get set, but he was nicked off early and it was all uphill from there. Oh well. 4-2-2-0 in the Dev now with 2 bonus points, sitting in 3rd place. Can't complain.

All eyes on FHK now. Can they break their horror run...

Maybe Edward Cheung's gold medal will inspire them today.

ZCC have drawn 'Breaking Winds' in the cup, playing at home. They're 131 in the world, affiliate of Fartland, run by the veteran manager Bumpuss. 52k ratings in their last two SOD games. We are the favourites, but you never know in the Cup. Making it to R4 would be very nice.

We've let a brand new team rating 28k get to 135/4 in 30 overs batting first on a flat deck.

There bowling is supposed to be crap, but the way we've been batting this season I won't be surprised if we fail to chase this down. It's Agnes, Nathan, Tony or bust with these guys. Let's hope they pull off the win.

So it was not the thrashing I expected against the frogs…

Our opening pair of Meyiwa and Tipping added over a 100, but we could only muster just over 200 batting out the 40 overs..

The frogs are 30 runs within reach of the target and 13 overs remaining

I see that Winton played against the team I abandoned a while back: Deep Backward Square Cricket Club.

No one wants them as an affiliate?

FHK getting away with one there @cnerd123
Did our best to lose that didn't we? Kept attacking and missing straight balls at the stumps. 163/9 chasing 188 to win and Joshua Wong offers up two more catches, both of which thankfully get dropped. Him and skipper Ted Hui then clout a few boundaries to pull off a great escape.

Terrible batting performance really, but a win is a win and this breaks out losing streak. Still unbeaten in Dev and on track for promotion.

ZCC fielding an young-ish side vs GG CC today. Some wear on an otherwise flat deck. Couple of early breakthroughs before Jayraj D Souza and Peter Sutherland combined for 96 off 107 balls for the 3rd wicket. Some miscommunication on a quick 2nd saw them both stranded in the middle of the pitch, and D Souza was runout easily by Shahbaz Furqan.

140/3 in 31 overs, game is nicely poised. 50k for ZCC vs 39k for GG CC, so we should still win this, but with an inexperienced middle order all GG CC need a runs on the board and some early wickets and they could pull off a big upset. We've bowled decently without much reward, hopefully we can nab a few more wickets and keep them to under 250.
