Should fast bowlers be banned from diving round the boundary?

Overton dd it first yesterday for one he was never going to stop, then Woakes may have seemingly ended his England career in the saddest of fashions, all for the sake of trying to stop one run. Is it really worth it?

Whatever it takes!!!
It really depends on how fit they are. I remember in the 2015 WC some of our best fielders were our fast bowlers - Umesh and Mohit. Chris Jordan comes to mind as well. Cummins himself is really good in the field and so is Rabada. Siraj is the kinda guy who will take stunners but drop sitters but is generally rather athletic in the field.

It's one thing being a decent fielder and another throwing yourself over the boundary rope trying to stop 1 run. How often do we see players holding their shoulders after doing it? Maybe they should put the boundaries back against the boards like the old days, they'd soon stop diving then.

No, any sort of blanket ban is idiotic IMO

On the other hand however, I do believe not diving for reasons of self preservation is something that shouldn't be criticised mostly for fast bowlers, especially in Tests. Limited overs a bit different as it is generally good fielders on the boundary, which mostly but certainly not exclusively is not the quicks in the team

You can’t ban it, but surely captains should bear this in mind when setting their fields, ideally place your bowlers where they’re not going to be chasing balls down to the boundary (Overton is exempt for obvious reasons)

Should batsmen and spinners be banned too? I don’t want them to get injured either

I have seen some grounds (in the carribbean) where there are shallow pools near the boundary for the crowds but don't think they are deep enough to actually dive.
