I want to take the opportunity to vote against Boycott, but I think Shakib's record is inflated by a lot minnow v minnow series.

Can't vote for either here.

Shakib al Hasan is a piss poor mediocrity, why is he even being debated
Had he been born English, Australian, Indian, South African, Kiwi or Pakstani he would have played 25 tests at best
Nah, if he had been a contemporary of Hobbs, he'd be just as good a batsman as him. That's not even considering his bowling. And to some that would put him close to Bradman as a Test cricketer overall, and definitely better than Sobers as a Test all-rounder all-time.

Considering Moeen Ali has played 68 tests that is clearly wrong.

Shakib is a better spinner and batter than Vettori was and would've been perfect for NZ - would be the first player picked.

He would've played at least 80, probably 100+, for all of them except India.

I rate both Moeen and Vettori higher given the quality of opposition and diversity of the pitches. That’s before the match fixing and overall contribution to the destruction of Bangladeshi cricket

Shakib is such a mediocre cricketer. He has some fancy statistics inflated by designed home pitches and beating up on the West Indies. All people can do is look at the numbers without the context of pointlessness that is Shakib Al Hasan,

He'd have played a ton for India as well. Jadeja only truly came into his own as an allrounder from 2017 or so onwards. Before that he was a quality spinner but his batting was underwhelming.
