Team 2 are the winners, followed by Team 3, then Team 1, and then Team 4.

The whole high scoring thing ataraxia complains about seems to be gone, now that I've stacked all teams with GOATed bowlers. :p

Its my OCD about cricket line-ups. Like to have lefties and righties alternate. :)
I do too if I can manage. Just this time I was just thinking about draft orders and team compositions of batting and bowling, and lost sight of the whole handedness thing. Ultimately it's not the biggest effect in the world, I don't think.

Made this side, with the following restriction: debut 1970 or later, with 1 wildcard (no Bradman), and only inactive players. What could be an alternate side (even one that includes active players) that would play this side tough?

Obvious players are Steve Smith, Tendulkar, Marshall, Warne, Gilchrist, one or more of Imran and Hadlee. But not sure how to fill out the openers or remainder of the side, anyone want to give it a go? Match would be played in modern conditions, with helmets and all that, for what it's worth.

What I really like about this team is, that you could have gone for an Ambrose or Steyn or Lillee, Waqar, etc. in place of Wasim Akram, but you decided "**** it, this team's batting down to 11". I approve.

Probably supports my hypothesis that it's hard to pick a team from this era that is definitively much better than a second team. Maybe a bit "unsporting" of me to pick up both the GOATed batting all-rounders though. :p

Edit: Attached the 9th match scorecard/match log, as that was some interesting stuff!

Modern players only ( 70- ) version of a self draft I did.

Team 1

Sunil Gavaskar
Virender Sehwag
Viv Richards *
Jacques Kallis
Javed Miandad
Adam Gilchrist +
Ian Botham
Shaun Pollock
Shane Warne
Curtly Ambrose
Glenn McGrath

Team 2

Graeme Smith *
Matthew Hayden
Kumar Sangakkara +
Brian Lara
Greg Chappell
Sachin Tendulkar
Imran Khan
Richard Hadlee
Malcolm Marshall
Dale Steyn
Muttiah Muralitharan

Which of these teams would you guys say is better? I probably would give the slight nod to Team 1 due to the presence of the extra batting all-rounder Jacques Kallis, which the other team doesn't have.

Edit: Seems once again I managed to stack Team 2 with lefty batters, and have none besides Gilly on Team 1. @honestbharani triggered again, I suppose. Oops.
