Haha, indeed.Bigger totals.
Yupo !Bigger totals.
Did you mean batting?I'll never, ever agree with a Powerplay chosen by the fielding side, personally.
Limit the number of overs per innings to 20Well, unless we just go back to a fixed period of fielding restrictions, what do you propose could be done to make the powerplays interesting?
So what's to stop them being taken in the 12th and 17th then?Refuse to allow them to be taken in the 11th and\or 16th over?
SmartarseLimit the number of overs per innings to 20
Nothing, but that's still at least a start on the breaking-up of the monotony. And who knows, maybe it'll encourage captains to think a bit more.So what's to stop them being taken in the 12th and 17th then?
What's this rule you speak of?Yeah, making it chosen by the batting side will be just as boring as by the fielding side.
As noted, it reduces the flexibilty and options for the fielding captain. It's like the "3 out between 15-30 overs" rule that was used in Australia's ODD competition (and still here in Melbourne in our grade competition *sigh*), which really hurts spinners.
You're only allowed 2 men outside the circle in the first 15 overs, and then only 3 outside the circle between overs 16 and 30.What's this rule you speak of?
