Post in this thread if your football team is top of the league

Ha, yeah it was far easier for cowards to "dump by ignoring" before mobile phones. Or one used to have more plausible deniability if one just stopped answering their calls by instructing a parent/housemate to tell them one wasn't in/has decided to give homosexuality a bash/has joined the navy (although that's more or less the same thing)/has joined a cult (although again...)

5-1 defeat in the Cup at the weekend. League table unchanged. If you win a cup game “great”, if you lose “who cares, concentrate on the league.”
Upwards and beyond as Bob Monkhouse once said. :santa:

We have a few injuries and had a bit of a stuttering draw today. No one got within four points though, so okay for another couple of weeks.

Lots of injuries and conceding goals through mistakes and poor refereeing, but still two points clear and no league matches now until December 2nd.

Thought my time in this thread was over (World Cup Group hangers on can **** off).
2-0 defeat and dropping points at home for the first time this season. But Ipswich conceded a 96th minute equaliser, so top until at least 5pm tomorrow.
