Given the mediocrity of India's lower-middle order (Dhoni included), Jadeja would be ideal at no. 8 imo. Also, don't forget that he's India's all-time best fielder.
Jadeja's bowling in ODIs is useless. Been ages since be turned a game. Actually has he ever?

Pakistan's batting opening partnership is among the best in the world. Since Fakhar Zaman debuted last year, only Imam-ul-Haq and Finch have averaged more than him as an opener in ODI cricket

10 matches +
ul-Haq 84.85
Finch 73.40
Zaman 72.60
Iqbal 72.44
Sharma 61.96
Bairstow 59.77
Dhawan 58.00

Jinxed Zaman he is out for 0.

Death hitting prowess in England is quite different to death hitting prowess in the bigger grounds of Australia or UAE

Straight boundaries are usually much smaller in England and most teams have enough players who can clear these grounds

Both Pakistan and Bangladesh scored 300+ in CT in England and neither side are known for their death hitting ability
