In World Cups he sure as hell isn't.
Literally one of the best WC records of all time.

Not only did he do that under the pressure of playing in WCs, but the added pressure of a billion indians. What a man. It's quite sad that some people use a sample size of 0.5% to discredit him.

You think his WC record is awesome? You should see his stats in the Singtel Who Gives a F*ck Sharjah Cup from 1998. Unbelievable. Really turned it on when it mattered most, unlike two WC finals when he spudded it up and you could literally see him asphyxiating as he took guard. WC final non-event. Gone.

Tendulkar gone.

Like England. Gone.

Gone. Gone. Gone.

Gone.

I mean if SA ever won a WC or T20WC with Tahir in the team I think he would just internally combust from the excitement.

Really surprised no Indian fan has listed Tendulkar tbh

Don't you hate it when Tendulkar fanboys hijack threads?

England, WI, NZ or SA for their captains' sake

Any team other than Australia. I won't mind if India doesn't win too. Cricket needs a new WC champion.

Saw the pain in his eyes in 1996 WC SF. Really want this great cricketer and gentleman to have something in his cupboard.

The thing is, Tendulkar was a world cup great who happened to be McGrath's bunny.

3 world cup matches
1996 - Tendulkar scores 90 vs Australia before getting out to his moderate downgrade (who scored a century)
1999 - Tendulkar gets nailed by McGrath for a duck
2003 - Tendulkar gets out c&b by McGrath in the final for 4

I missed the group match in 2003 where India got all out for 120 odd and Tendulkar top scored with 36, getting out to dizzy.

Tendulkar smacked Mcgrath all over the ground in that 90 and that's much more important than some piddly world cup final.

In WC battles McGrath beat Sachin 2-1 out of 3, which is 66-33%. Therefore, mathematically speaking McGrath is 33% better a player than Sachin

This is something strange and unusual about CricketWeb: Aussies are much more obsessed about Tendulkar than Indians.

That is why it is the greatest cricket site in the universe.

Australian fans are just insecure that they've never produced a batsman better than Sachin.

Especially in tests.
