Should we have player comparisons in a separate thread?

Can we have a single thread where we do all the player comparisons?

No I would rather have it the way it’s done (free speech and all).

Personally I find it silly discussing the same thing again and again when there is nothing new to be added (Warne vs murali, sachin va lara etc.). But I just refrain from participating if I see there is no point.

Yes. Sub-forum is a good idea too. While yes it will reduce discussions in cricket chat, it will also clear the clutter and help cricket chat have proper organized threads.

Or it's own subforum

but without player comparisons cricket chat would be dead
i post on an nfl forum (@91Jmay is there as well iirc but i haven't seen him around there for a while), and they have a player comparisons sub and the sub for nfl general is far from dead

in fact it's better because it means good threads don't get bumped off in favour of the nineteenth kallis thread for the week

Problem is one comparison could get side tracked over other and it could be a one jumble at the end.

It's fine the way it is. We don't have enough traffic to sustain Cricket Chat after moving half the discussion to a subforum. We just need the current wave of player comparision spam to go back to subside to previous volumes.

What cricket chat desperately needs is some decent quality cricket that people can actually chat about it...
