cricinfo doesn't say whether the decision was made by the PCB or the ICC, though.

Great start on an apparent road. No freebies.
There is always something early on for the bowlers in day games. Even in the 438 game there were quite a few play and misses in the first 10 of the aus innings.

SA will need to play well to get to a defendable total.

Amla’s already scored more than half the runs he managed in 2018 in this ODI series. Shows you what a bad 2018 he had.

Yeah and the stat they just gave there supported that. South Africa put close to 350 on Pak last time they played at Jo’Burg, and that was after being 20 odd for 1 after 10. Need to start motoring now.

Pommie making the argument for two spinners just because South Africa are struggling against them. Shamsi has had two games and went for 131 in 19 overs.

To be fair he has looked threatening in both games.... even if he had a poor Centurion game.

The pitches in SA looking very dry at the moment, not to sure how much it is weather related or tired pitches but whenever the groundsmen try to flatten a pitch out we tend to get a bit of turn off the pitch as well.

Is there a chance Hafeez bowls very little before the World Cup and then chucks it left right and Centre at the tournament as there’s a good chance he’ll retire after?

I think there's an argument for a second spinner, but perhaps not him. I get the appeal of Shamsi, being a left-arm wrist spinner, but I'm yet to be convinced by him at international level.
