the Sparks match is here

presumably the same channel will show the final if I'm right about this target being too low
Just seems very odd that with the success of the Hundred and women's sport being promoted quite a lot that this isn't easier accesible. Keep on saying Issy wong is a star in the making, but if she isn't shown it won't happen.

Surprised Issy hasn't been given a game by England yet. She has real pace. Likewise with Lauren Bell, who's a beanpole. England barely select any new players at the best of times. Dunkley is the only real newcomer in recent times. They pick the same pace bowlers over and over.
well a few are retiring so I think we will get a some fresh blood soon. Players playing here Dean, Arlott, Wong, Potts, maybe the future.

Whatever it takes!!!
So apparently, the women's IPL may start with 6 franchises but played at a different time than the men's IPL.

6 seems a reasonable amount of teams to start with given how little organized women's cricket is played in India. But I would have rather seen them play it along with the men's IPL and also sell tickets as a double event. Its not great but you don't really have to tell people in India how to get crowds in. And if the BCCI were actually smart business folks, they would rather spend money and cheat code huge crowds for the WIPL games. All you need in India is to create enough buzz and rivalry between teams (read teams' fans) and then stuff just takes off.

HK might legit lose to Bhutan here, which would be disastrous given all the pre-tournament chatter about expecting to qualify for the Asia Cup...

Oh wait, it was 17 overs up. So 30 in 3

That wicket helps. Bhutan need some big hits. HK probably favorites to win now but man they've had to work for it...

Lol they cut off the live stream just as Mariko was complimenting Bhutan on their development.

Good to get the win but man that was hard work. Not good signs, need to raise our game if we're to reach the final and qualify for the Asia Cup. UAE just skittled Singapore out for 29 and we already lost to Malaysia in the warmup game...
