let's see. except srt the others also hit their peaks in the 28-33/34 age range. the 17 test matches should give a good indicator.

vijay yes won't play for than 3-4 years max but he's averaging 45 since come back and can be pretty good in the next few years.

I didn't think Joseph would be ready for test cricket yet, but it's great to see him prove me wrong. Serious talent.

Slipped away from West indies in the final session a bit. Ashwin really does kill the windies every time he plays them.

The Kapil v Ashwin comparison at end of last test was interesting. Not completely inappropriate given Kapil wasn't a terrific batsman really. Ashwin is not a specialist by any means though, lets be clear about that. He does a job as a lower order player and it's great we have that option. I would prefer Ashwin to the hit and miss Kapil as a batsman btw for tests at least, ftr.
