For reasons unknown, during the Australian tour of New Zealand in February 1998, Gavin Robertson wore no. 44 after wearing no. 43 just weeks earlier. Jimmy Maher had worn no. 44 in his debut a month prior also. Subsequently, Maher began wearing no. 46 whilst Robertson never played ODIs again. This mix-up was never acknowledged, with Mark Higgs later being allocated no. 44

Ah no, saw the spotted line of the catching circle which he was behind, thought he was behind that. They've ruled the proper circle.
