Well done to the Blues. It is a joke that the Chiefs host a semi though. Surely the Chiefs should drop to 4th as lucky losers and be made to play away in Chch with the other semi in either Wellington or Canberra (depending who wins tonight).

Yeah 100%, great performances from the Blues and Hurricanes as well. They certainly turned up. I could honestly see the Blues knocking over the Chiefs next weekend, and I reckon the Hurricanes will beat the Brumbies in Canberra.

Oh really, is that the way it works? If so, I totally agree.

Yeah i just read up on it, the chiefs drop 1 seeding place because of the loss, so get another home game, and if the Crusaders lose and chiefs win, chiefs would then host the final.

Agree, lucky loser (even if a top 2 team) shouldn't maintain the home advantage, the advantage of finishing 1 and 2 get is a guaranteed lucky loser place with a home playoff/semi/gf when winning. Losing a playoff should negate that.

So Crusaders v Blues and Chiefs v Brumbies.

Would suspect a Crusaders/Chiefs final the most likely outcome, extremely unlikely the final comes back to Canberra (would need blues to beat Crusaders)

Proper old school final match-up for the English Prem: Bath v Leicester.

It's like the last thirty years never happened.

Has this game got test status?

Can't see any reason why it wouldn't, but haven't seen any confirmation either.

Owen Farrell seems surprisingly erudite as a pundit. Although I guess talking stand offs is his happy place.

I had the same question. Fancy the Argies to win this - first game as a scratch side and missing a few of the squad.

Greenwood just called it a proper test match

Yeah pretty sure it's a full test, It's vs Argentina proper, not an Argentina XV so to speak.

Argies look much more cohesive to start.
