The only swerve E can pull off at the moment is to turn face themselves and actually give fans what they want.

Was the dumbest ****ing (attempted storyline ever). Just as well it fell through really, though what they replaced it with (i.e., Punk losing to HHH) was also dire. But honestly, who in their right mind would have thought the best thing to do with the hottest guy in all of wrestling at the time was to book him in a feud with an ancient and completely irrelevant Kevin Nash. Just absurd.

He loves to bring it up in every interview he ever gives these days. Always using the same language re: how he was told to "stick" the winner.

. It also raises the possibility of the strange parallel universe where he attacks John Cena - to which I'm sure John Cena would have been more confused than angry. I watched Summerslam on Sunday afternoon with two friends and one friend of a friend. The latter had never really watched wrestling before and after Becky pinned Bianca after so much build up was just yelling "that is outrageous!" repeatedly. Good that wrestling is about to elicit that sort of emotion from a new watcher, even if it is controversial booking, etc. Such a long build-up and I think we were all expecting a long match and then two moves and its over.
