I was confused when her actual AEW contract expires, I thought it was August, but anyway she is gone and thats that.

Endeavor is in so much debt I guess they got to milk WWE and UFC as much as possible.

The Truth spot aside (which was gun obviously), I thought that was Cena's best match of this run. Bit of a low bar perhaps, but he looked far more mobile and comfortable in the ring than in his other matches imo. Probably helped by having Paul in there to share the load I guess.

I feel like it’s all been building very nicely, like even after all this time the story is he’s learning to improve by adding heel tactics to his armoury. Commentators hinted at this when Wade said it might be the best yet version of Cena.

Anyway it was a solid show. Both ladder matches were good, Jacob face turn been a long time coming, the new ladies on the main roster all got showcased well. I’ve been watching a lot more of NXT this year than for. While so no surprise to me or no doubt any in this thread mind you. Becky and Lyra had another ripper. And I watched it on a sun lounger whilst drinking cider. No complaints really

Intrigued to see where things go from here. Have seen mention of the Cody Cena rematch being at Summerslam but personally I’d like the jeopardy of him retiring with the title and ‘ruining wrestling’ to go deeper into the year. Seth taking Jey’s title is something I suggested straight after Mania and seems the logical step now at some point this summer, unless Gunter wins tomorrow I guess.

Anyway, each to their own and all but I think that it’s all very good at the minute. The Raw tag division blows and I was bored of the smackdown one but since the TLC match, the introduction of Fraxiom and now the Wyatt Sicks stuff, it has my attention. Guilia’s imminent US title reign strengthens the only other weak title picture on the roster for me.

Too soon for Punk to be challenging for the title, assuming Cena holds it till Dec. They'll be out of opponents with comparable starpower at this rate (Roman? Brock? The Rock??). Though Cena stipulating the match be in Saudi is a nice riff on Punk's erstwhile refusal to go to the desert.
