I'm not about to edit it. You know what your name is. That's all that matters.

Quite pleased to get a recall into the ODI XI, albeit surprisingly.

Looking forward to bowling at the top level again. Go CW.

Commentary

'Dominant' was hardly the fitting term to describe the way in which the Cricket Web XI dismantled Pakistan in the opening one-day international of their five-match series. Not merely content with bowling Pakistan out for 127, the Webheads chased the total without losing a wicket, and with 26.3 overs to spare.

Brendon Goff won the toss and inserted Pakistan in heavily overcast conditions. The CW XI bowled disciplined lines, but Pakistan advanced to 72-1 before coming undone. Malik drove uppishly to Goff at short extra cover, then Afridi's frustrating vigil was ended soon after by Neil Pickup.

Pickup and Robbins then proceeded to take the next 5 wickets, leaving Dave Watt to clean up with the scalps of Yasir Arafat and Mohammad Asif. Pakistan ultimately lost their last 9 wickets for 55 runs in the space of 16.5 overs.

It seemed a formality that the home team would get home, given especially that the sun came out and conditions improved drastically. Erratic pace bowling was a bigger factor, however, and a superb spell by Shoaib Akhtar was not backed well by Asif and Arafat, as the two looked far from potent in support.

Markus pulled Asif to midwicket to raise his half-century, then Camps followed soon after with a tickle to the legside. The winning runs then came off Markus' bat, as he clubbed Asif back overhead for boundary, taking victory in emphatic fashion.

Pakistan 127 all out (37.5 overs)
Shahid Afridi 40, Shoaib Malik 26; NS Pickup 4-27, MJ Robbins 3-35

Cricket Web XI 130-0 (23.3 overs)
I Markus 63*, LA Camps 53*

Another injury blow for Pakistan

Following on from their devastating defeat at the hands of the Cricket Web XI, Pakistan face further challenges with the loss of Kamran Akmal for the next 3 ODI matches. Akmal broke his toe in a warm down session after the 10-wicket defeat in the first ODI.

The PCB have not announced a replacement, but coach Bob Woolmer has indicated that Younis Khan is prepared to take the gloves for the next three matches.

Heh, not even needed... well played the Webbers, good stuff, the batting performance of the openers to get the runs so quickly shouldn't be ignored either.

Can we get a speed gun reading for that, please?

Fantastic team effort and as dominant as you could want.

Well done to Alex on debut - no byes and a stumping is always a good way to start.

As for the injury sim? Well, if I'd rigged it, then Black wouldn't be missing Roberts and Butler for extended periods...
