I rather play you in MF, but we need to just play defensively until we get a gun MF or forward, its our best chance of a result.
Best chance of result .... when we don't have a single shot on goal? :o

Come on man, we need to shot to score ... and we need to score to win.

Personally, I don't care if we win 8-7, aslong as we win hey.

The main reason why we didn't have a sot on goal, wasn't because we played defensive, it was because our midfield didn't win any ball. In the last game we played normal and we only had 5 shots at goal, all off target. Ok if we do play attacking or ca we might have more shots on goal, but at the end of day if we don't win the ball, you always not going to have enough shots on goal.

But i am looking at a few options to increase our chances of winning the ball more often. A lot of its to do with tactics and the bonus factor, but its likely we might play an extra midfielder next game, maybe the extra numbers might help. Just stay patient guys, we are working really hard to find a way for us to perform better.

Hrmmm, yeah ... wasn't having a go at you per say ... just disagree with the defensive football.

Regardless of tactics, hope you Power lads have a good game next match. I shall be watching from the sidelines with keen interest :)

Much better game, but was unfortunate in so many ways. 2 players down , they had 2 penalties and took both , we had 1 and missed. Despite the possession dominance against us, I really thought we were fairly level with them in the first half and faded away when they got the extra numbers. Not a bad effort we've just got to stop giving away soft free kicks/penalties and stupid red cards like Kirilov got.

Might be time to look at aggression levels, we giving away too many fouls each game. We pretty much had a guy sent of every game, which is also a concern.

But it was an improvement.

I reckon Pete and Xavier need a hard long look at themselves ... can't be as nutbag as rthey are as centre halves.... *cough* ... *winl wink wink*

"WAIT ... look at yourself, Trav" I hear the crowd say ..... Pshhhh, i was never meant to be in the heart of defence .... midfield: defensive, attacking or central it doesn't bother me .... just leave me there.

We are doing okay, Tharmi..... just need to play our natural game ... which doesn;'t involve a 10 man defence ;) :P

We got too many suspensions to our DF for the next game, your going to have to play in defence. But cus we played a little better with 4 MFs, you probably start playing in MF again when the other guys come back,

Ok i'll like formally ask everyone in the team to look at changing their aggression levels. We pretty much had a guy sent of everygame and we had like 20+ fouls every match. Dropping our team aggression levels isn't working either. I personally don't want to drop my aggression levels but i think its the best option for the team, its hard to win games when you don't have 11 guys on the field.

Anyone who has aggression levels above 60, can you please consider dropping them to 50-60.

I'll start with dropping mine to 50.

Hey guys im sorry for the couple penelties i've missed so far this season. If i converted a few more of them, i think our result could have been a bit different. Its been a tough start to the season, but its seems the management guys Andy, Tharmi and Dave are going their best to change things around.

On that note i don't think i;ll be able contribute much to management discussions while im on holidays in Sri Lanka, for Christmas. I'll be in Sri Lanka for 3 months, so i think probably better if someone else gets a go on the management team. I talked to Tharmi and he said his thinking about it.

Hopefully within another 24 hours more guys change anyway.

Also to do with activity check coming up, Manju is on holidays so he might not post for a while. I don't think his in danger of being declared inactive though.

Ok guys with two suspensions, we got a bit of a selection headache. Trav will come in for one of them and play as makeshift defender. The other spot is between Anton_Velasco (15 TK) and Soren_Ernst (19 PS). If we play Velaso he will be a like for like swap for Kirilov and we will play 4-4-2. If we play Ernst we will play a 3-5-2.

With Andy moving to 27 passing, our midfield is starting to look stronger. Blake and myslef have been in pretty good form at the back, so if Trav and Xav can give us more support and stay on the park, we could be ok with 3 defenders. Ernst is a long way infront of our overseas players expect Ezequiel (22 PS), so he does deserve a game.

The other option is playing three forwards and playing Hjelde, but until our midfield can prove they can supply our forwards its a waste of time playing 3 forwards. Another option is playing 3 across the back and giving Trav a run as DM. But im not too confident with Velasco in a 3 man defence, i rather Trav with 20 TK.

What are your thoughts guys?

Tharmi, check out the aggression thread to see what i've said. Will see how it goes unless you still want me to change it asap.

ANyway, obviously i'd still prefer to play midfield, but i'm happy to slot in across the back until we get Pete back etc.

I think we should be okay with 3 across the back, i've always liked 3 rather than 4 across the back.

I wouldn't be overly confident with 3 at the back considering Velasco would be one of the 3 but if people prefer that option then it's a possibility. I disagree with the 3 forwards for the time being, we're not getting the ball down there often enough atm to consider a 3rd forward at this stage imo. I'm undecided between the 3-5-2 without Velasco and the 4-4-2 with Velasco myself, either one would be alright but the 3-5-2 we'd have to be very careful not to have a defender sent off if we decide to play that formation.

I've been thinking things over and im considering playing a 4-1-2-1-2, with Velasco as the 11th man. I'm still not overly confident about playing a three man defense expecially if someone gets sent off.

I think playing a diamond midfield could be a good option for us with Paddy at DM and Manju at AM. With Andy only having one more player through the centre he might have a bit more space and their we can get a bit more out of him.

Manju seems to get the odd Key tackle or Key pass, so i think playing him at DM or AM he could do a job for us. When we played him at AM last time he got a few shots on goal for us. Paddy hasn't done that great at DM when we played him, but with a slightly lightweight defence his 14 TK could be handy. Both might not be as effective when it comes to passing, but i think we have to back Andy to run our midfield and the more space he gets the better.

Whats your thoughts?

Also i can't remeber the tactic line for Red cards for outfield players is this correct:

SUB 7 13 DF IF RED 2

or is it

SUB 7 13 DF IF RED DF

Andy/Dave?
