***Official*** New Zealand in India ODIs/T20Is 2017

This is definitely a better balanced NZ side than the one we saw in the Champions Trophy and at home against South Africa, and putting Latham in the middle order is a good move (at least in these conditions). But, here's the list of buts:

1. KW unwilling to bowl himself
2. Southee seemingly undroppable after bowling dross and with Henry in the squad
3. Munro continuing to be unconvincing (but then again has been messed about so much by the selectors in ODI cricket, so feel for the guy)
4. The question of giving any of the younger frontline keepers a go continuing to be brushed under the carpet (not complaining about Latham's keeping at all, but does he have the stamina to pull off the keeper-batsman role in the long term)

Good points, but on no. 2 I think Henry should replace Milne rather than Southee. Southee's first spell is always testing - and he should get a longer first spell from KW imo.

Nah disagree with this -- Milne is definitely the best at his role in the middle overs; neither Henry nor Southee have been particularly good when asked to do this. If Southee was bowling more up front then it'd just make the case for Milne greater given Henry is new ball reliant.

Moreover, Southee has ****ing sucked in ODIs for ages now - he's averaging 48 in the his last 32 games, which goes back to the mid-point of the World Cup. Bowling a slightly longer spell up front isn't going to fix this.

Southee gave up all his powers for that one spell vs England in the WC. Probably worth it because it was absolutely glorious.

I think I'm on board with this. A bit like Mark Greatbatch giving up everything for an epic match saving 146* in Perth and being useless in test cricket after that.

Good Come back by India. Santaner is one of those kind, who can succeed in India. Awesome variations.

Very excited about tonight's game. Just hoping it's a close game and not a dour one like the last year's decider. Kane has failed twice meaning a big one is just around the corner. Pretty upbeat about tonight's chances.

That's pretty sad :( Was still quite effective last game though India didn't have a demanding scoring rate either.

This score looks ominous.

Tough for NZ here.Generally bowled well but not had the control they needed. KW been very quick to take Milne off in the last two games, would have thought this is where he needs to be used most.

Rohit's 3rd double today imo
His ODI record is so good over the past 5 years. He should start being included in these conversations about great ODI opening batsmen soon. His average is only being dragged down to 43 odd by his ordinary start.
