I wouldn't say the 5th bowler rarely bowls to be honest.
I open the bowling, try and bowl quickish outswing, get it through pretty well if im in rhythm, which is a key word for me as im slight, i mean no agarkar or anything but not that big either, i guess 5"11 and 77kgs, i struggle in the wind as i get buffeted around and theres heaps of bloody wind here in akl. Lol, my scores this year 10*, 14*, 53*, 11, 8, 0, im on a downward spiral, having technical difficulties!

Lucky bout your pitches man, they are dogs in auckland.

i get a little bit of inswing, but more rely on line and length and i also get a bit of bounce, i'm 6'4 and 98 kgs.

I see New Zealnd have an awsome ODI record of late but have they really been playing that well in ODI's ??

Just a question because from what i can remember of them lately they have been struggleing to put big scores on the board..

Nz are finding playing under the roof is quite hard because of the grey lining. This seems a lame excuse really, but we'll see how they go on sunday, and at their next training session

Could that be more due to conditions they've played in?

Because of the grey lining? What the heck does that mean?

To me it seems that NZ recently have won most of their matches through batting second, we seem to bat much better when chasing at the moment.

That is right. McGrath apparantly wanted some family time, so McGrath was rested replaced by Lee.

Be interesting to see Hamish Marshall be given a go.

Didn't realise Sinclair was a OD player either.

3.*Ponting
4.Martyn
5.Lehmann
6.Clarke
7.Symonds
8.Watson
9.Hogg
10.Lee
11.Kasprowicz

New Zealand

1.Astle
2.Sinclair
3.*Fleming
4.Styris
5.Marshall
6.Cairns
7.Oram
8.+McCullum
9.Vettori
10.Mills
11.Butler

australia only have one of their four test bowlers remaining after resting gillespie aswell as mcgrath and seem to be taking the new zealanders a little lightly, if new zealand want to make a statement in this series the first ODI is the time to do it.

Australia might be a bit light on in bowling but the batting strength is amazing.

NOW you pick Butler, Bracewell?

Unless it's his 5.50 career ER, or the 48 off 7 he conceded against Victoria B on Thursday, it seems a lot like you're picking him because he hates you and was planning another tantrum if you didn't.

This tough love thing you're doing is so twisted it may actually work, otherwise let's talk about that ultimate selection veto of yours....

Will be interesting to see how Butler goes. He could surprise the Australian batsmen and pick up a few wickets, or (as I think is much more likely) he could get punishment Franklin-style, or even more so. His tendency to bowl short will be quite popular with some of the batsmen.

I would have chosen Adams ahead of him, although I guess Adams can be horrible at times too. Harris might have been a good option with the variation he gives the attack.

I absolutely aree with Bill Lawry, Hayden was plumb LBW! Kyle Mills was very unlucky there.
